Employability

The Community Education Coalition

The Community Education Coalition The Community Education Coalition (CEC) is a Workforce Development initiative with the vision "to develop a strong community where all individuals have the opportunity to grow and prosper." The CEC is a partnership of business, education, and the community. A Guiding Coalition was established to lead this initiative and determined 3 areas of priority to address: Early Childhood Education and Employability,

Employability

The Employability Coalition is focused on workforce development and employability from third grade through the end of career. Current projects include increasing career awareness through partnerships with events such as the Franklin County Career & Technology Middle School Open House and the Early Childhood Expo. The Employability Coalition also hosts an annual Franklin County High School Business Challenge in which teams of high school students from across Franklin County create a business plan for a real or imaginary business. The business plans are judged in a shark tank like event in April. Visit www.chambersburg.org/ChamberFoundation for more details.
